Volunteer Form for Trapping

To assist with trapping community / feral cats please fill out the Volunteer form.  We will connect you with others in the group to coordinate trapping.

To trap cats safely and kindly for TNVR:

• Use a 30–36 inch trap with doors on both ends. You can buy one at Tractor Supply, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, or Home Depot.
• Bait the trap with canned tuna or mackerel. Put a little outside the trap and more inside.
• Hide the trap with leaves or branches, and place it in the shade.
• Check often to see if a cat is inside, but stay out of sight.
• Once a cat is caught, cover the trap with a towel or cloth to keep them calm.
• Do not use a carrier or kennel. Only use a humane trap when bringing cats to a TNVR site.
